Bought used laptop from Pawn Shop

 Great news. In the past, I have gotten some pretty good computers from the pawn shop. I went to one called Golden Goat Pawn Shop and bought a good HP for $150. I have to order a new power cord though and have ordered one from NewEgg.com.  It cost $30 and should be delivered no later than May 2nd.

I am anxious to get back to doing C# app development. I should not have done this but I used my old HP power cable and it worked. The pc came up after updating and everything looks good. Will wait till my new power cable comes to use it. You can mess up a computer if you used a cable with the wrong voltage.

I am so excited about this. Yeah, I was going to buy a $500 Dell computer but I decided to check out a pawn shop and it worked out.

Need a New Laptop

 Because my HP laptop crashed, I have to buy a new laptop. The old one needs a new battery and hard drive. Fortunately, the repair shop I am working with will be able to copy my files from that pc.  I should have acted sooner on the battery issue, and I should have had backups to the cloud, using a solution like Carbonite.com. It will be several months before I can get another one or have the old one fixed. While I'm waiting to get it fixed, I am working on my new blog www.rapconstellation.com.
